A photograph holds a moment. Frame Notes helps you hold on to the choices that made it.
Between the shutter and the scan
You take a reading, choose a filter, wait for the light, and make the exposure. Then the film goes to the lab. When the scans return, those small decisions can be hard to remember.
Frame Notes gives them a home: a reference image, your settings, your notes, and eventually the finished photograph. Keep them together so your next roll can build on what the last one taught you.
Made for deliberate photography
The app began with the needs of medium-format photography: a limited number of frames, separate rolls across cameras, and exposures worth taking your time over. Custom roll lengths and one-off entries make room for other film workflows, too.
Exposure and filter calculations, film reciprocity references, and an offline field guide sit alongside the notebook. They support your judgment and record what you tried.
